Charmed 3.15 'Just Harried'

Despite the fact that this episode features Piper and Leo’s wedding, it’s actually more of an insight into Prue. It explores the side to her that doesn’t get to come out enough, in the same vein as ‘Which Prue Is It Anyway’ and ‘Ms Hellfire’, and it’s just as clever.

Synopsis: On Piper and Leo’s wedding day, Prue’s astral self takes over after and get’s Prue arrested for murder. After Piper’s wedding is ruined, it’s up to Phoebe to save Prue and Piper’s big day.

As I’ve said quite a bit in these reviews, Prue was always the leader of the sisters. She was such a strong character, putting her sisters ahead of herself, even early on to help raise and take care of them. Seeing her mother in this episode we see that all of this was just to make her mother proud.

Obviously a lot would be bottled up inside if you sacrifice that much for your family. Her Astral self allows her to express that part of her that she doesn’t let out enough. You really have to feel for her, she never catches a break.

I really like that Phoebe saved the day with something quite simple. Her and Prue’s conversation as such a major point in Prue’s Charmed journey. She’s done her job; Piper and even Phoebe are grown up now, and can take care of themselves. Now Prue can focus on herself again.

I really liked their mother’s appearance here. Sometimes it feels like they’re cheating death binging so many dead characters back to the show, but the bedroom scene with her and her three daughters is such a magical one and I really think that this time, her return was deserved.

Piper and Leo’s wedding is always the best moment in their romance. It was intimate, romantic and magical, I really loved it and it was the perfect wedding for them.
