Charmed 2.15 'Give Me A Sign'

‘Give Me A Sign’ is the first taste of something that stays with the series till the end, a demonic ‘government’. While it led to some great plots in later seasons, I always found it quite strange. Prue and Bane’s insane sexual chemistry makes this episode special.

Synopsis: Bane Jesop kidnaps Prue to ask for her help to stop a demon that wants him killed.

While the chemistry between Prue and Bane IS undeniable, sleeping with him in the middle of everything going on is a little slutty, no? I mean, she should know Piper and Phoebe are out the searching for her, worried sick...Where were the condoms? Still, her fun side that we’ve seen a lot more of this season is still far more tolerable than season 1 Prue.

The end to their romance was inevitable, he was a criminal after all but it was still sad to know there wasn’t much hope for a future. I just wish there had been some other appearance down the line (at least during the Prue years). I really liked how Phoebe’s spell ended up leading them to Prue not decide between Leo and Dan.

High level demons were the basis of season 3 and season 4, and while I did love those seasons respectively, it was still a little strange to know that all the demons we’ve seen up to this point are serving a leader, as they’ve always seemed a little random.

Piper is at her whiniest in this episode, but it’s probably the major turning point. Now that the choice between Leo and Dan was has been made (It was always going to be Leo though), she can shut the f*ck up.

8/10
