Charmed 2.10 'Heartbreak City'

In a pretty dull and stupid episode the girls meet Cupid, who just so happens to be responsible for all their love matches in the past. The episode does little to be unexpected and it comes across as a little childish.

Synopsis: Cupid seeks out Phoebe’s help when a demon steals his ring which he uses to create love connections.

Cupid’s introduction to the show was definitely something I could have done without. The episode felt forced, and seeing Prue and Piper double dating so happily was strange, seeing as how Jack and her hadn’t really been that close before. Still, pairing them up was the only way we could really see what damage could be inflicted should Cupid lose his ring.

Phoebe falling for Cupid was one part of the episode that actually felt pretty natural. She was the most closed off to love in the beginning, and when confronted with love itself she finally opened up, becoming even more accepting than her two sisters. It’s kind of what made this episode some bit fun for me. As stupid as it was, I’m glad it was a little part of the final season.

5/10
