This is the first, and only time Charmed has its big climax in the penultimate episode allowing for a simple, and relatively calm season finale. It was the perfect opportunity for one, considering all that had happened during the year allowing for decent closure.

Charmed 4.21 'Womb Raider'
The arc that featured heavily during season fours later episodes almost has two climaxes. The first is the emotional one, which we saw in ‘Long Live The Queen’, the second, here, is the magical one when the Seer’s plan comes to fruition.
Charmed 4.20 'Long Live The Queen'
Even though I feel like this season’s stories could have been stretched over two seasons (splitting after ‘Charmed and Dangerous’), the fact that it produces an episode as brilliant as this one makes it almost forgivable. From the darkness of the whole thing to the tearful and touching ending, it all makes it a standout episode and one of the series' best.
Charmed 4.19 'We're Off To See The Wizard'
The plot that has been driving the second part of the season forward finally comes to a head during this action packed episode that along with drama provided a lot of fun too.
Charmed 4.18 'Bite Me'
Bringing vampires into the Charmed ‘verse was a strange idea given all the obvious comparisons being made at the time it originally aired. Charmed’s take on ‘vamps managed to change things up enough make it work though, and served the season’s story very well.
Charmed 4.17 'Saving Private Leo'
While it finally gives us some long awaited back story on Leo’s life before becoming a white lighter, ‘Saving Private Leo’ is a little bit of a downer in an otherwise brilliant batch of episodes. The overall arc was able to progress remarkably well though.
Charmed 4.16 'The Fifth Halliwell
This hour felt like one that could have been part of the earlier episodes solely because of the element of sisterhood that prevails during the hour. The greater plot is driven forward even more this episode, with Paige’s distrust coming to the forefront. This episode stands out as the perfect epitome of the story that has progressed this far.
Charmed 4.15 'Marry-Go-Round'
‘Marry-Go-Round’ as an episode isn’t really one of my favourites. There is quite a bit being thrown around though and what it does do is set up the arc that follows this episode excellently.
Charmed 4.14 'The Three Faces Of Phoebe'
This is a superbly clever episode which actually goes so far as to make Phoebe still an interesting character.
Charmed 4.13 'Charmed And Dangerous'
‘Charmed And Dangerous’ is the climactic battle between the Charmed Ones and the Source and it was well worth the wait, even if it did come out of nowhere.
Charmed 4.12 'Lost And Bound'
Annoying child actors are a plague on this earth, but thankfully this episode worked regardless of that, thanks to a couple of fun sub plots.
Charmed 4.11 'Trial By Magic'
‘Trial By Magic’ is one of the most tedious and boring episodes of Charmed, almost to the point that it’s a chore to have to watch it. I will admit it’s not ALL bad though.
Charmed 4.10 'A Paige From The Past'
Even Piper and Phoebe’s pasts are very rarely discussed, only popping up in the odd episode (with great results – Coyote Piper). In a pretty dramatic episode we see what life was like for Paige with her adoptive parents and how much their death really affected her.
Charmed 4.09 'Muse To My Ears'
‘Muse To My Ears’ is this season’s version of ‘Blinded By The Whitelighter’ with a warlock with a more complex plan than your usual one, and there is just as much at risk.
Charmed 4.08 'Black As Cole'
I’m really glad this episode happened. Not just because Cole finally became human, but I because found it quite strange that since Prue died, almost everyone had forgotten about Cole’s past wrong doings.
Charmed 4.07 'Brain Drain'
‘Brain Drain’ is ties to an idea that has been done to death: It’s all a dream/in your imagination. It goes deeper into Piper’s resistance of magic, something that has been evident in previous episodes.
Charmed 4.06 'A Knight To Remember'
While this hour delves back into something that I adored the last time it dealt with it, this exploration of past lives isn’t as wonderful as the last time. The sisterly moments helped it along the way though.
Charmed 4.05 'Size Matters'
‘Size Matters’ is really given a hard time. I don’t believe it’s as bad as a lot of people to make it out to be. It’s actually one of the most original episodes of the season, even the series and is actually quite darker than some others.
Charmed 4.04 'Enter The Demon'
Even though this episode is plagued with awfully designed sets (even for Charmed) it’s actually fairly enjoyable. It’s not hard to see where the inspiration for this episode comes from. Also, Charmed has its first Freaky Friday moment.
Charmed 4.03 'Hell Hath No Fury'
Piper was always going to be the hardest hit by Prue’s death. This episode explores that while also establishing the new dynamic with some fun results.
