Charmed 1.22 'Déjà Vu All Over Again'

In the first season finale, we see the first major loss to the show. It’s this huge loss that makes this one of the most painful episodes. We also see time being played around with here, resulting in great entertainment.

Charmed 1.21 'Love Hurts'

Darklighters make their first appearance in an episode that is pretty standard if you’re not a fan of the Piper Leo romance. What really makes this such a great episode is the big switch of the girls’ powers.

Charmed 1.20 'The Power Of Two'

Prue and Phoebe’s dynamic was always in the fore front during the first season of Charmed. ‘The Power of Two’ is the first episode to address their issues with each other head on, and gave us an intense and interesting instalment.

Charmed 1.19 'Out Of Sight'

‘Out of Sight’ gives us our first glimpse of what might happen if the girls’ powers were to become public knowledge. Despite annoying child actors, this episode felt like one of the stronger ones of the season.

Charmed 1.18 'When Bad Warlocks Turn Good'

‘When Bad Warlocks Turn Good’ was a pretty mediocre Charmed hour.  It felt like people spent most of it doing things that they normally wouldn’t do, but performances from the shows cast saved it.

Charmed 1.17 'That 70's Episode'

In the series first trip through time, the sisters end up back in 1976, where they come face to face with their deceased mother. It resulted in one of the most special episodes the show ever had. You’ll find it hard to find anyone who can speak against this one.

Charmed 1.16 'Which Prue Is It Anyway?'

When Prue was on form, she was one of the best characters the show had. This episode explores something that future episodes in seasons 2 & 3 do, the different aspects of Prue’s personality that she holds back, in order to take care of her sisters. It was moments like this when the show proved it was capable of really great things.

Charmed 1.15 'Is There A Woogy In The House?'

Phoebe becomes the second of the sisters to turn evil in this episode. It had some great historic back story, and showed how great the mythology in the first season really was.

Charmed 1.14 'Secrets And Guys'

This episode takes things away from demons with a more human threat, but it still doesn’t make it anything above average.  We see very little in regards to the girls themselves and their magic. We do finally find out about the existence of whitelighters though.

Charmed 1.13 'From Fear To Eternity'

Bringing your worst fear to life is obviously something that everyone dreads, and bringing these out into the open gave our girls the chance to face them head on, and showed how brave they really are and made me change the way I viewed them. This was also the first episode to feature long running nemesis Barbas.

Charmed 1.12 'The Wendigo'

‘The Wendigo’ was one of the first episodes that featured one of the sisters going demonic on the others, and it was one of the best playing so cleverly on Piper’s sensitive caring demeanor. It also featured one of the more ‘Spelling’ moments of the series when Phoebe and Prue help reunite a mother and daughter.

Charmed 1.11 'Feats of Clay'

A lot of shows have a few episodes that don’t just fall under the category of ‘bad’. They’re also plain boring. ‘Feats of Clay’ is most definitely one of those episodes. With a dull demon and an even duller guest star, I find it hard to even remember much about this one.

Charmed 1.10 'Wicca Envy'

The show finally puts an end to the dreadful villains that were Rex and Hanna, and the girls accept that magic and being witches are part of who they are. It was a decent episode that, in a way, acted as an ending to the first half of the season.

Charmed 1.09 'The Witch Is Back'

‘The Witch is Back’ saw their girls finally coming face to face with the woman responsible for their birthright, Melinda Warren. It was also first episode that featured someone being brought back from the dead, as a fully function human, ghost or otherwise, something that happens a bit too much as the show progresses. This episode had the makings of an amazing episode, but never reached its true potential.

Charmed 1.08 'The Truth Is Out There...And It Hurts'

In this episode, we saw another case of the ‘demon of the week’ plot being the main issue with the instalment. It was the wacky fun that ensued after another spell goes awry that makes this episode so fun to watch.

Charmed 1.07 'The Fourth Sister'

The Charmed circle is so tight, and the show is based on how close all three sisters are, so an episode which features someone trying to infiltrate that circle was inevitable. Still, as significant an idea that it was, the episode was pretty average with few significant moments.

Charmed 1.06 'The Wedding From Hell'

This was quite possibly, one of the worst episodes of the entire series. It was clique, the acting was well below what people would consider acceptable, and the writing was like something out of a bad lifetime movie.

Charmed 1.05 'Dream Sorcerer

Following on from the previous episode which was hugely character based, ‘Dream Sorcerer’ shifts things back into more magical territory with an episode that was surprisingly frightening and featured some great comedic moments.

Charmed 1.04 'Dead Man Dating'

One might mistake this episode for just a boring, thrill less hour. I’m not one of those people. This is an episode that truly shows just how much the writers cared for the characters in the beginning, giving us more of a taste of, not just Piper’s but, the three sisters’ personalities.

Charmed 1.03 'Thank You For Not Morphing'

There was always something that bugged me about Victor’s appearance in this episode and for the longest time I could never figure it out. After watching it again (for, like, the millionth time), I figured it out. He never really felt like a father. Not even an estranged father.
